I need to register myself and Family in the voters list and am based out of Kondhwa-Khurd. What constituency should I register under?

Kondhwa Khurd comes under the Hadapsar constituency. You can visit the Pune District collectors office for voter registration.

Thank you for the response. I visited the Collector office opposite Sassoon hospital last week and was told that I have missed the registration date. Even if I submit the papers, they will simply lie around until the next window opens. Process as I was told is 1) registrations 2) book publication with the same 3) dispute/approvals 4) voter id card publication.

And so please guide as to which location I should submit the papers as I would like to very much exercise my voting rights.

Thanks in advance.

You are right. The voter registration drive is finished for all [November sometime I believe] including the new voters who complete their 18 years this Jan'12. Even that date was supposed to be 5th Jan. I am afraid you are late and will not be able to cast your vote this PMC elections as the voters lists are almost finalized and as per EC should be released soon.

However do email me your contacts so when the window is opened post PMC elections I can help you get your registration done.

P.S You can find my email on the blog.

Will surely do so. Your guidance is much appreciated, thank you!

Good morning Sameer. I looked up the blog site but was unable to locate your email id. Closest I came to was a "no-reply" id.

It would help if you could share a link from where I could derive the registration start dates.

I studied "http://ceo.maharashtra.gov.in/" but without luck.

Becoming a registered voter seems to be a painful task. Shouldn't be that way but then too.

Again, thanks in advance.

sameera.cmc@gmail.com is my email. None of the sites have the Voter registration campaigns planned. It will however be initiated in April until June considering that 2013 will have elections in Maharashtra.

http://mahasec.com/eng/main.asp is the Maharashtra Election commission website.
